Me Reviews

Me Mam. Me Dad. Me.

This debut young adult novel has a great and distinctive voice. Well plotted and surprising, it is about how a youngster can make foolish choices despite being brave and determined and wanting to help. It has sweetness and comedy, despite the gravity of its theme. And it is a lesson in standing up for yourself and others and finding the people who deserve your trust.

A truly fantastic book and I loved reading it! This genuinely is one of my favourite novels that I've read - the twists and turns that the story takes are gripping and make it impossible to put down. it is awfully well told through the eyes of young Danny, giving it an almost tangible warmth and making it very easy to relate to. Danny seems like a very good person - he's brave, kind and thoughtful, only wanting the best for his mum. I had my breath held throughout! In all, the story is simply fantastic.
